Walking into a church for the first time takes courage. You do not know where to park, which door to use, what people wear, or whether someone will single you out. We want to take every one of those questions off your mind before you come, so the only thing left is to meet God and meet us.
When we meet
Abiding Love Church meets every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. A Sunday afternoon service gives you your morning: sleep in, rest, take care of family, and then come worship with us. Plan on about 90 minutes to two hours.
Where we meet
We worship in Leak Chapel, inside West Market Street United Methodist Church at 302 W. Market Street in downtown Greensboro. Park in the Early Learning Center lot, on Commerce Place, or on the streets around the church. Enter on West Market Street, and a greeter will be watching for you.
What happens in a service
You will hear worship that is alive, the Word of God preached plainly and practically, and prayer. We are a Spirit-led church, so we make room for God to move. That may look different from what you are used to, and that is all right. Nobody will pull you up front, put you on the spot, or ask you for money.
What to wear
Come as you are. Some people dress up and some come straight from wherever their day started. What matters to us is that you are here.
After service
A pastor will want to meet you and learn your name. If you fill out a connection card, we will follow up personally, not with a sales pitch, but with a simple thank-you and an invitation to take a next step when you are ready.
Tell us you are coming
If you let us know which Sunday you plan to visit, we will save you a seat and have someone waiting for you at the door. Plan your visit here. We would be honored to meet you.
